How can this blog be of use?
Let's be up front: visiting Cuba is not always a walk in the park. Tourist infrastructures can be quite scanty and prices surprisingly high ... In short, some tourists return home rather disappointed with their trip to Cuba.
But bear in mind that we all must be indulgent: Cuba has only started opening up to tourism a decade or so ago. The number of visitors has skyrocketed over the past few years and though the diplomatic relationships have recently improved with Europe and the United States, the situation is still quite new and precarious.
There are definitely upsides to all this: Cuba in general and certain parts of the island in particular have been sheltered from mass tourism.
The downside is that the Cuban tourist industry is still in the early stages of its development and therefore not always fully adequate.
But no fear! We will do our best to help you avoid unpleasant surprises and discover the true face of Cuba!
