Feedback from Our Clients
"Hi Raj and Mauricio, I just wanted to say thank you for organizing a great trip for us. Overall we had a wonderful experience-friendly people, wonderful music and dancing and beautiful mountain scenery. Juan Carlos in Trinidad(my favourite town),remembered you both and arranged a wonderful trip to El Nicho for us. our guide Leo was extremely good. a few things went wrong which i thought you should know for future reference-
we were NOT booked in to the Conde de Villeneuve for the 1st 3 nights. we were moved to the Florida ,in the 2 worst rooms they had(our LAST night we had MUCH better rooms). i understand that we aren't the only people this happens to, its just that the Conde looked SO much nicer when we visited it,so we felt a little cheated!
our first transfer failed to appear and we waited 3 hours (with repeated phone calls)for the reps to sort it
out. We did not recieve our last transfer voucher, tho tim noticed and it was sorted out the next day.
Our friend Ann had her gold chain ripped from her neck by a young guy while walking in havana. with hindsight she perhaps should not have been wearing it(she wears it all the time so forgot about it),but it might be a good idea to warn people about that sort of thing.
I dont want to end on a negative note,tho-we loved Cuba and everything YOU arranged for us was fine.
We are still planning to visit Vietnam, perhaps next year so i will be in touch again. i have also recommended you to several friends.
best wishes,
sarah
P.S.thanks for the rum!

"Hi Mauricio
Just a quick note to thank you for your advice re our recent holiday.
The Conde de villaneuve was superb and in just the right area for us. Just as you said it would be. We went to the Nationale for a meal and a show and were glad we had not stayed there.
We also enjoyed the paradisus and often walked along the beach past the Iberostar and again we were glad we did not stay there. If it had not been for your advice we would have stayed at the Nationale and Iberostar, and I doubt we would have enjoyed it too much. Thanks to the time you spent in getting to know your customers likes and dislikes, we had a lovely holiday.
Many thanks

"Dear Raj, We got back from our wonderful holiday yesterday. Thank you so much for all your hard work in organising everything. It all went by very smoothly and was well worth it. We particularly loved Havana and Trinidad. Thank you also for the rum you sent for our return! With best wishes,"
R. Tobin, London, February 2010
"Hi Raj, Just a note to say thank you for the miniature rum bottle awaiting us on our return from holiday. You will be pleased to know that everything worked very well and we had a wonderful time. The taxis all arrived on time and we enjoyed staying in all the hotels and had beautiful rooms in each case. The only slight reservation was that there was a lot of street noise in Cienfuegos which kept us awake into the small hours. The Jaguar hotel seems to be in a quieter situation, but I can't comment on the rest of it. We also enjoyed most of our food in Cuba. The weather, however, was colder than we expected, particularly at La Jibacoa. We wonder whether we were catching the tail of the cold American weather. So we were pleased with the arrangements you made for us and the advice you gave us and would happily recommend you to anybody who wants to travel tailor made to Cuba. With kind regards and thanks,"

"Hi Raj, Thank you very much for your gift of the Havana Club. We certainly got through our fair share of it whilst away. We had a fabulous time and saw so much, but would still have liked to have seen more. Everything went smoothly, Hotels excellent (although we did change rooms in 2 of them) and the transfer transport was always on time. Thank you very much with your help and we would definately recommend your company if friends were interested in seeing Cuba , rather than spending the whole time 'all inclusive'."

"Hi Mauricio
Hope you are doing well.
I am sorry I wanted to email you earlier - ie as soon as I got back, but i got caught up in work! But I wanted to let you know that we had a LOVELY time in Cuba - the hotels you chose were fabulous and we had a great time. All the arrangements were perfect, so thank you very much. Also thanks so much for the lovely gift you sent us - really appreciated.
Will definitely recommend you to anyone I know who wants to travel to Cuba.
Thanks & good luck

"Hi Raj, Thank you for organising such a wonderful holiday - everything worked smoothly in the end, apart from the delayed flights both ways."

"Hi Raj, I’ve just realised I forgot to thank you for the bottle of Havana Club that was waiting for me when I got back from Cuba!
I had a great holiday apart from at the very end when nobody from Havanatur came to take me to the airport. I eventually got there under my own steam, along with other people who also had been waiting for Havanatur to pick them up. Luckily the plane was delayed! Also, yesterday I heard that three other people from our group who left Cuba three days after us had also been let down. This is a real shame because it put a very big black mark against Havanatur whom up to that point we’d all said we’d be recommending to family and friends.
I just thought you should know about this since UK travel agents seem to put a lot of business their way and no matter how great their tours are, if they lose interest in providing a service at the end of the holiday it’s not really good enough, is it?
Anyway, thanks again for the rum which perked up my coffee no end!
Best wishes
Marie.

"Hi Raj, Just a quick note to say thank you." "La Moka hotel was very good enjoyed the area and time there the people were so friendly felt that we were part of the community. Great time in Havana, hotel El Comendador confusing to find a way in too and a little in need of maintenance attention, But the staff definitely made up for any of the miss givings, Jacob Breezes was just paradise. All transfers were on time and drivers generally very helpful and informative." "Have received the Havana Club, Wow that was some holiday, Once again thank you for a Great Quest2Cuba Holiday!, Ian & Sue Watson"

"Hi Raj, Thanks for the rum and for organising a great trip - it all ran smoothly and we both had a fine ol' time. Will recommend you to any friends thinking of going to Cuba. Or come back to you if we decide to go again...he he."

"Hi Raj, Well you really absolutely got the hotel right for my 3 sisters and I . After not being together for 29 years we had a wonderful reunion at Breezes Jibacoa which was simply the right place for us to be. The hotel itself was super with friendly, helpful staff at all times. The rooms were very comfortable and they did put my sisters from Vancouver in the room next to ours which was great. We loved the position of the hotel under the mountain with all the bush on it and then right on down to the sea. The other great thing about Breezes is that there are not loads of resorts nearby all competing with each other and the drive into Havana was not so far for a day out. Raj, thank you for all your input over the months and really listening to our needs and especially a thank you for the rum when we got home. Not to say we didn’t have our fill in Cuba too! I will certainly recommend anyone wanting to travel to Cuba to contact yourself and Jose’. Regards, Mary"

"A quick message to say thank you for what turned out to be an utterly amazing holiday. I thoroughly recommend both hotels and have only the best things to say about them. Cuba has to be visited again and again. Loved the roof pool in Havana and the most comfortable and welcoming staff in Varadero. Thank you so much."

"What can I say? Right from the minute I made contact with Quest Holidays they provided me with outstanding service! Raj put together an excellent itinerary for us, which fitted exactly what we wanted - a bit of 'beach', a bit of 'countryside' and also the unmissable visit to Havana! And.. we certainly were NOT disappointed! All hotels were of excellent standard, and transfers well organised. La Moka was a beautiful countryside retreat, with stunning views over the La Moka valley. Food and service there was outstanding, not to mention the excellent cocktails we sampled whilst there! The next venue, Las Brujas, was just a mini paradise. Perfect, idyllic views, unspoilt beaches, lovely sea and the accommodation was excellent. It was a true haven of peace and tranquility looking over the sea, and there was even a lovely jacuzzi on the top deck! Wonderful! Our final destination, Hotel Tejadillo in Havana, was simply stunning! A beautiful, old style hotel, with wonderfully comfy and cool rooms. Like stepping back in time, as was Havana. Totally unmissable and a MUST for all Cuba holidays. We wanted a slice of the real Cuba, away from the 'bargain basement all inclusive' resorts, which are often crammed with tourists. We got just that! All places were peaceful, authentic and of excellent standard. And if that wasn't enough, there was even a little bottle of 'welcome home' Rum from Quest Holidays to welcome us back! What a lovely touch! Both Raj and Jose's experience, enthusiasm and knowledge of Cuba were invaluable in providing us with a holiday that we will never forget! Thank you so very much, we'll be back again in the future! With Warmest Regards, Christine & Paul xx"

"Thank you also for the gift of rum we received in the post, we thought that was a great touch! We certainly enjoyed our fair share of Havana Club out there so as you say it will definitely help us relive the memories!"

"Hi Jose, Wanted to let you know that Annie and I had a brilliant trip to Cuba and send our thanks to you and especially to Raj for her work on the arrangements. Everything went completely smoothly from start to finish. All the taxis arrived spot on time, and all the drivers were superb. So kind and helpful, genuinely pleased to tell us about the countryside, their lives etc. We particularly loved Herado, the La Moka driver, who met us at the airport, and later took us to Los Jasmines. Such a dignified, courteous, thoughtful man, we felt safe in his hands from the moment we arrived in Cuba. In fact we were incredibly impressed by the safety aspects of visiting Cuba. Their crime rate puts ours to shame. People trust each other in ways we have forgotten in the UK. Children are so well cared for.
Each of the hotels has something special about it. La Moka is beautifully designed, and it was inspiring to learn the history of the community there. What they have achieved is pretty impressive. We went bird watching with a young and very knowledgeable guide which was amazing. We would mention that visitors need to be fairly fit to cope with the steps at La Moka.
Los Jasmines certainly has the views! and we had a perfect balcony room. Hostel Tejadillo couldn’t have been in a better location, or more comfortable. All our rooms throughout trip were spacious, spotless, and well furnished. Good beds. Towels were provided everywhere. All the hotel staff everywhere we stayed were brilliant.
As you advised hotel food in general was not the best, though the Tejadillo does a mean ham and cheese sandwich in the bar! But breakfasts were good at all the hotels. Your advice to just go B+B was very sound, because we ate in some amazing restaurants. Romero’s vegetarian at Le Terezas is world class. We went to El Patio and Le Guardia. Both outstanding experiences, and we had supper in a home-café in Vinales which included the best lobster I’ve ever eaten. We also saw the Cuban State Ballet at the Gran Teatro, which the tour organiser at the Tejadillo effortlessly booked for us. We could walk there and back in 10 minutes which was perfect. We met up with other English travellers and we felt from their stories that staying at Tejadillo gave us a more intimate experience of Havana than if you were booked in a bigger hotel in the central area. So many thanks for this guidance.
Breezes was also lovely. Personally I found 6 days a bit long after the adventures of travelling before. There is nothing much to do outside the resort. I think our original hope to have 3 nights at Levisa and 4 at Breezes might have been better. But hey I’m not complaining about a couple of extra days of luxury and laziness. Breezes was definitely a good resort option, particularly for our age group (fairly old!) I think Annie who works full-time was glad of 6 days rest there. The facilities and food were a good standard. Rooms extremely comfortable and well equipped.
Virgin travel went smoothly. All your vouchers accepted without a moment’s hassle. Sweet to receive your little bottle of rum on our return. So all in all I’m reporting back as a very satisfied customer. Thank you so much.
So a big thank-you for arranging everything.

"Hi Raj, Just wanted to say, what an amazing holiday we had. Cuba is a wonderful country and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
All the arrangements and connections you made went like clockwork. Taxi's arrived as planned and it was just great. The people, hotels, views and even the weather. A few tropical storms but all a wonderful experience.
Really difficult to pick out a 'best bit'. Very varied, all the places we saw. La Terrazes was fantastic, especially the bird watching with a lovely young man called Daniel, who together with Herado, our taxi driver gave us a great time; touring some of the area. Wonderful people.
Vinales was spectacular, even the open windowed bus in the tropical storm. We laughed.
Havana was a different experience again. We went to the ballet and that too was amazing. A lot of 'amazing' on our trip!
Breezes Jibacoa was a lovely resort and we really relaxed and enjoyed the cocktails. However our other visits were the best I think.
So a big thank-you for arranging everything.
I guess you may have an edition to your family now. I do hope all went, and is well.
With all best wishes to you all"

"Hotel Sevilla is a great historic and centrally located hotel > the service (again after Breezes)
left ‘a lot be to be desired’ and I had a major problem on the morning of the wedding to get our
‘cuban family’ into the hotel to dress and prepare us. No manager was available to allow that
and sure as hell no other personnel were willing, interested or able to commit to a decision.
It took some serious ‘hopping up and down’ (and 1 hr) to get the attention and decision required."
"Really > Everybody was super nice and the day was truly perfect. Thank you again.
The Venue is ‘the best’ available in Havana for sure. Brilliant location, excellent staff, food music etc.
And Breezes….the BEST resort hotel I have ever been in my many many years of travel. Can’t beat it,
can’t say a negative thing about it… brilliant location on the beach with the reef in front, good rooms,
drinking and eating was outrageously plentiful (all for £000000) and the staff were REALLY friendly!
"
"So, that’s it for the moment… all things said and done a VERY GOOD SERVICE from Quest World Travel.
We already have many friends asking how good, who, where did you get it etc… so watch this space..."

"Hi Raj. Got back yesterday, had a great time, gorgeous weather, and we loved Havana.
Just for some feedback, I think one of the good things about Breezes Jibacoa (after talking to some other travellers on the plane) was that it was so laid back, by the sounds of things holidaymakers in other all-inclusive resorts (esp Sandalls) were hassled for tips all the time, and ignored if they weren't tip-ers, by the staff. Not at all where we were, v relaxing. Also had taxi trasfers from Conde Villeneuva to Breezes, and fom Breezes to airport - very civilised! Thanks so much for organsing it - Loved the rum you guys sent in the post - just what we need after coming home to rain etc!"
Thanks again, Liz and James

"Hi there Raj..... that was really good coming back to your little bottle
of rum....many thanks! As we stupidly forgot that as we were stopping in
Paris we would have the bottles we bought at Havana airport confiscated,
it was especially appreciated!"
"We've had a lovely time.....both hotels in Havana were great thanks and
I think the Casa Particular we stayed at in Trinidad, gave us a taste of
the real Cuba. We cycled to the beach from Trinidad one day, and on
another day went horseriding to the Ranchon El Cubano, then walked
through to the waterfall and had a brill time leaping and swimming into
the caves..... a really great day."
"Both the Viazul and Transtur buses were excellent services.....the
Viazul incredibly punctual and the transtur picking us up from our hotel
in Varadero and returning us to San Fransico square for our last night
at Los Frailes".
We visited lots of excellent museums and other buildings which gave us a
thorough view of Cubas history and enjoyed many mojitos listening to
some cool music!
The journeys there and back were good.... very late leaving Paris though
on the way out as the plane was incredibly full...only half full on the
way back. It was a bit of a blip with the driver thing at Havana when we
arrived; I should have checked it out with you before leaving, and once
there I didn't just want to assume it was a mistake incase there was a
driver waiting, and everyone was trying to be very helpful when they
read the letter.
So.... many thanks again......if we head to Cuba again we shall be in
touch.....there is so much more to see!!

"Hi Raj, Just a little note to say thank you for sorting out our holiday. We had an absolutely fantastic time in Cuba, the hotel Tejadillo in Havana was particularly beautiful."
"Thank you also for the little welcome home bottle of rum, it was a really nice find in the letter box. "
Many thanks,

"Dear Raj, As you know we got back from Cuba early Monday and it was really nice to see the gift from you. We certainly did enjoy it together with a Cohiba to relive the memories of a great holiday!
. We were really pleased with all the arrangements, and advice you gave us. Hotels and transfers were excellent - a truly great holiday."

"Hi Raj, Just wanted to get in touch to say thank you for a great trip to Cuba. It was an amazing holiday and everything was so well organized. All the taxis turned up on time and all the hotels were excellent. Thank you so much for your hard work and doing it all at such short notice. We have already recommended you to all our friends!!! (The little bottle of rum in the post was a nice touch!). Do you organise any other trips outside of Cuba, as we would love to book our holiday through you again in the future?
"
Once again, thank you for you hard work and a holiday we won't forget.
Many thanks
R. Holmes, Gloucester August 2008
"Raj, just a quick note from Elaine and I to thank you so much for your excellent organisation of our Cuba trip. This trip exceeded all our expectations. The organisation of our tailor
made holiday went very smoothly with no trouble. The Ambos Mundos Hotel was (for us) in the best location of the Old Town and our bedroom was next door to where Ernest Hemingway spent 7 years of his life! Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The Internacional at Varadero was
also very good and is right on the most beautiful beach. There was an amazing dancing show (the standard of dancing was impressive) and the live musicians were also impressive. The Cuban people are so friendly and so pleased to help you - very refreshing coming from London! Food is plentiful with lovely fresh fruit, fish and seafood - it may not be to the standard you are normally used to but remember - Gordon Ramsay hasn't reached these shores yet - thank God!. I would urge first time visitors to read up on Cuba before travelling there so that they can understand how the Cubans live and do a tailor made holiday to see Havana as well as the
beach. We enjoyed Cuba immensely and hope to return to travel round the island a bit more, next year. We will certainly recommend your services to our friends."
L. Ireland, London April 2008
"Hello Raj,
Just wanted to say that we had a great time in Cuba. All went very well with transfers. We had a lost in translation moment when the girl from san christobel said that the Trinidad to Havana transfer had been cancelled but having spoken to the rep who we saw on the first day, we realised it was an admin issue. Cuba is a beautiful country and we found the people very friendly and warm. Also pleased to say that the weather was lovely and warm as well.
Thanks for all your help in organising and planning and thanks for the litttle gift we got in the post. I would not hesitate to recommend your service to Cuba if i hear of anyone else going."
