Is it safe in Cuba?

Cuba is without a doubt one of the safest places in the world for tourists. It certainly is safer than London. The Cuban strict government takes the issue of crime very seriously, specially crime involving tourist, and political correctness does not work in Cuba. Everybody knows that if they commit a crime they are going to be inside for a long time. Tourism is today’s main industry in Cuba and the government will not spare resources in making it safe for travellers. Every body is very friendly. There are cases of pick pocketing in the streets so make sure you take the necessary precautions. Leave all your important documents in your hotel room locked in a safe box.
