HOW FAR FROM HAVANA TO CIENFUEGOS
There are 256 Kilometres from Havana to Cienfuegos. To get from Havana to Cienfuegos you have to take a taxi from Havana. It takes around 3 hours in a taxi from Havana to Cienfuegos. If you pay locally for a Taxi it will cost you from 150.00 to 200.00 CUC (100 to 130 GBP). This is perhaps the most expensive way to go from Havana to Cienfuegos. It is always cheaper to book a taxi from a tour operator before you arrive to Cuba. Taxi drivers will take advantage of your not knowing how much this journeys can cost. A much cheaper option from Havana to Cienfuegos is to book a VIAZUL bus ticket from any of the hotels in Havana which sell excursions. A ticket cost just under 20.00 CUC. The journey is a bit longer than going on a taxi because the bus will call in Jaguey Grande before heading on to Cienfuegos. Of course you can always hire a car if you are thinking about traveling around the island but bear in mind that dropping of the car on a location other than where you picked it up often involve a drop off fee of around 100.00 CUC.
