Can you drive from havana to Cayo Santa Maria?

Yes, you can drive from Havana to Cayo Santa Maria. The journey takes 5 hours aprox. via the motorway (Autopista Nacional) then drive through Santa Clara up to Remedios and Caibarien. Once in Caibarien you will find the sign posts to Cayo Santa Maria from there on is just another ½ hour drive to the island. The drive to the island is fantastic. There is this road over the sea with fantastic views.
