This twin centre holiday package combines the best hotels in the best locations in Cuba. It is a bit pricy yes, but accommodation is in the top range of the market.

Cubana Airline is not the most luxurious of airlines but is definitely the best option because is the only one that lands in Holguin (40 minutes far from Guardalavaca) and takes off from Havana.

The reason we have put together this package is mainly because of Guardalavaca. This beach resort is not as spoiled as Varadero. As a matter of fact the hotel is located in a beach area called Playa Esmeralda and there are only two resorts in this beach. So the over crowded factor is out of the question. The hotel Paradisus Rio de Oro is by far the best hotel in all the beach area commonly known as Guardalavaca. It is managed by the best hotel chain SOL MELIA and to be honest there are not many hotels that deserve the category they claim to have but this one is an excellent 5 star property.

This is mainly an itinerary for those looking to relax in the beach and have a bit of culture as well. There are many excursions you can do from Guardalavaca such as swimming with dolphins, snorkelling, diving, all sorts of water sports, helicopter trip to Santiago de Cuba over Sierra Maestra Mountains, visit to Holguin City and so on. So do not worry about not having much to do in the first 10 nights.

We have left 3 nights at the end in Havana because this location will definitely be the main source of local interaction, culture, history, architecture, salsa dancing, Latin jazz clubs and so much more. The hotel Saratoga is in our opinion the best hotel you can find in Havana. Its location can not be better and its comfort will allow you to rest after a hectic day of sight seeing, drinking and dancing.
